What to see in Hilljatra Jhaki
In Hilljatra Jhaki First you see men and women sweeping the field, then the fishermen smoking hookah-chillam, then comes a pair of splendid bullocks and the farmer who is going to his fields with the oxen. After this comes the Galya Bald (the obstinate bull) and then begins the farce of mutual respect between the bull and the farmer. The farmer persuades his obstinate bull and asks him to walk, but the bull is stubborn. As soon as he is ploughed for plowing, he lies down in the field and troubles the farmer.
Along with this, the pranks of women transplanting paddy and hoeing also go on between the beats of the hoodka and Chanchari. These farce are so interesting and lively that the audience immediately gets attached to them. In between, other important characters found in rural life also become a part of it, such as hunters, sadhus, grass-cutters and women and men dancing dressed in colorful clothes.

In this festival, dozens of characters like bull, deer, chital and Lakhia Bhoot enter the field with masks and enthrall the audience. Apart from this, the agricultural love of the mountain is also depicted, this festival culminates with the arrival of Lakhia Bhoot, who is considered to be the Gana of Lord Shiva. Lakhia Bhoot is the biggest attraction of the fair despite its frightening appearance, who goes away promising to come next year along with blessings of happiness and prosperity to the people.
