Lachhiwala Nature Park Guide: Dehradun has many places for tourists’ interests one such place is Lacchiwala which is situated on the outskirts of Dehradun on Haridwar road. Earlier, this place had a picnic spot surrounded by rich forest but now the state government has built a beautiful park which is called Lachhiwala Nature Park.

The construction of the park has been done in sync with nature without any disruption. The entrance of the Nature Park has a huge board bearing the name ‘Lacchiwala Nature Park’. The ticket counter is before the entrance gate and the ticket is Rs 50 per head. After entering the gate, the road with lush green forest on both sides gives the feel of a jungle safari. After a few minutes’ drive there is a parking lot.

The park has been constructed beautifully with fountains and artificial waterfalls on the second entrance of the park. The entire park from the second entrance has to be traced and explored on foot. There is a well-crafted garden for the public with beautiful structures and statues. Every plant inside the park has its name written so that it can be identified. There is even a map of the nature park. The Lacchiwala Park even resembles Dubai’s Miracle Garden in some aspects. There are wooden benches, small fountains, and artificial ponds. Even there are spots for taking beautiful pictures for capturing memories. 

Adventurous Activities in The Park

There has been a separate area inside the park dedicated to adventurous activities. There is a trampoline for children, net-bridge crossing, climbing, and a few more fun activities. Every activity has a separate fee and it’s completely worth it. There has been a board providing information about the different species of birds that are found in the Himalayan region as well as in the nature park.

Dharohar, in Nature Park

Inside the Nature Park, there is a museum named ‘Dharohar’. There is a separate ticket system to visit this museum which is Rs 20 per head. The museum ‘Dharohar’ is an informative place that not only tells about the biodiversity of Uttarakhand but also about its historic culture. You can find each and every minute detail about the flora and fauna of Uttarakhand. There is information about tourists’ places, grains, tools, artifacts, folk dances, and many more things about Uttarakhand.

Lachhiwala Nature Park remain open 6 Days in a week from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM , Park is closed on Monday. Entry Ticket price is given below.

  • Entry inside the Park – Rs 50 per head
  • Car Park – Rs 40
  • Entry inside Dharohar Museum – Rs 20 per head.

How to reach Lachhiwala Nature Park

Lachhiwala is situated on the outskirts of Dehradun. It is around 15 Km away from main city center. The best way to reach Lacchiwala Nature Park is through private vehicle or taxi. The rent is somewhere between 800 to 1000 INR.

Best time to visit Lachhiwala Nature Park

Lachhiwala Nature Park can be visited any time of the year. In winters the best time is during the morning whereas in summers the best time is during the evening. In monsoons, it rains heavily so avoid visiting the park during this season.
