Letter Send to Scindia for Pantnagar airport
Union Minister of State Ajay Bhatt wrote a letter to Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, stating, to release funds for the construction of a greenfield airport in Pantnagar. The other requests, mentioned in the letter were, the transformation of Pantnagar airport from Visual Flight Rules (VFR) to Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). Due to low visibility, under the VFR license, the flights get canceled very often, which is why the minister asked for the installation of proper equipment for the IFR license.
Ajay Bhatt said that the Uttarakhand government is looking forward to developing a new green field airport at Pantnagar in Udham Singh Nagar. The state government has also completed the formalities like the transfer of land as per rules.
