Champawat ADM Hemant Kumar Verma, held a meeting in the district office auditorium regarding the preparations for organizing the Devidhura Bagwal Mela. ADM Hemant Kumar instructed all the department to complete the preparations. Here is the meeting updates.
- In the meeting, the Deputy Superintendent of Police informed about the police system that 3 sectors have been created under the Mela area for deployment of police force and other forces in the Mela area.
- Tenders have been invited for arrangements like electricity, pandal etc.
- Panchayat and Temple Committee is going to prepare the posters, banners etc.
- The Additional District Magistrate directed that CCTV cameras should be made available to the police as per the requirement.
- PWD Team to clean the bush, drain and repair the walls along the road. So that people do not face any kind of problem during the fair.
- Public Works Department, Lohaghat said that the work of parking is in progress, along with this the pot holes of the roads are being filled.
- Executive Officer UPCL informed in the meeting that action is being taken for temporary power connection.
- ADM instructed and said that all necessary cleaning arrangements etc. should be made in advance in all guest and rest houses.
- Excise Department informed that on August 12, all the liquor shops in Devidhura will remain closed. There will also be a complete ban on the sale of illegal liquor during the Mela period.
- Health Department confirmed that two ambulances would be stationed during the Mela area. And one more ambulance would be deployed under the Mela area.
- Food Safety Officers would be posted during the Mela period and would regularly check the food items.
- During the Mela period, 5000 litters of diesel and 3 thousand litters of petrol should be kept in reserve at the petrol pumps of the area. Along with this, additional arrangement of gas cylinders should also be made.
- The camp would be organized by the Social Welfare Department. Along with this, stalls/exhibitions of all departments were also discussed.
