1- Somnath Dham Jyotirlinga
Somnath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is considered the first among the 12 Jyotirlingas. The name “Somnath” translates to “Lord of the Moon,” derived from the Sanskrit words “Soma” (Moon) and “Nath” (Lord).
According to Hindu mythology The Moon God is said to have been relieved from the curse of his father-in-law Daksha Prajapati by the blessings of Bhagvan Somnath. In the Shiva Purana and Nandi Upapurana, Shiva said, `I am always present everywhere but specially in 12 forms and places as the Jyotirlingas`. Somnath is one of these 12 holy places. This is the first among the twelve holy Shiva Jyotirlings.

2- Nageshwar Jyotirlinga
Located about 20 kilometers from Shri Krishna’s Dwarka in Gujarat is the 10th Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva, is Nageshwar Jyotirlinga . millions of devotees visit the Nageshwar Temple every year . It is believed that viewing of the deity and performing puja (worship) here reduces the effects of inauspicious yogas like Kaalsarp and Sarpa Dosha . Devotees also offer statues of snakes (Nag-Nagini) at the temple.
In the Rudra Samhita of the Shiva Purana, Lord Shiva is referred to as “Nagesham Darukavane” (Lord of the Nagas ). The term “Nageshwar” means the Lord of the Nagas (serpents). The temple’s legends are also associated with the Pandavas. It is believed that in this region, Lord Shiva killed a demon named Daruka.

3- Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga
Trimbakeshwar town is an ancient Hindu Pilgrim centre located at the source of the Godavari River, the longest river in peninsular India. Trimbakeshwar is abode of one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. The extraordinary feature of the Jyotirlinga located here is the Linga in the temple is in the form of a three faced embodying Tridev, Lord Bramha, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva.
The present Trimbakeshwar temple was constructed by third Peshwa Balaji Bajirao (1740-1760) on the site of an old temple. There are entry gates on all the four sides, viz. East, West, South and North. As per spiritual conceptions the direction East denotes the beginning, West denotes maturity, south denotes fulfillment or completion and the North stands for the revelation.
In the year 1954 the Sansthan was registered under public trust registration act. Shri Trimbakeshwar Sansthan takes care of daily three time pooja, all the festivals and gala carnivals of the year.

5- Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga
The Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga is located in the Aurangabad district near the Devgiri mountain. In a village there, lived a Brahmin named Sudharma and his wife Sudeha, but they had no children.
Due to their childlessness, Sudeha arranged for her younger sister, Ghushma, to marry Sudharma. Ghushma was a devoted worshipper of Lord Shiva, and every day she would make 100 clay Shiva Lingas, worship them, and immerse them in a nearby pond.
By the grace of her devotion to Lord Shiva, Ghushma was blessed with a son. However, out of jealousy, Sudeha threw the child into the pond. By the grace of Ghushma’s unwavering devotion to Lord Shiva, the child was found alive. it is believed that Lord Shiva was appeared at the very spot where the child was found.

9- Kedarnath Dham Jyotirlinga
Kedarnath Temple is located in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand state of India. Kedarnath temple in the lap of Himalaya Mountains in Uttarakhand is one of the Char Dham and Panch Kedar along with being included in the twelve Jyotirlingas. It is one of the most popular and largest Shiva temple in Uttarakhand, which is built by joining huge boulders of cut stones. These boulders are brown in colour.
The temple is built on a platform about 6 feet high. Its sanctum sanctorum is ancient, which is believed to be around the 80th century. Kedarnath Dham and the temple is surrounded by mountains on three sides. On one side is about 22 thousand feet high Kedarnath, on the other side is 21 thousand 600 feet high Bhatkund and on the third side there is 22 thousand 700 feet high Bharatkund. The Kedarnath temple is not only a confluence of three mountains but also five rivers – Mandakini, Madhuganga, Kshirganga, Saraswati and Swarnagauri.Some of these rivers no longer exist but the Mandakini, a tributary of the Alaknanda, still exists.

11- Rameswaram jyotirlinga
Rameshwaram Jyotirlinga, is located in the Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu. The Rameshwaram Jyotirlinga, said to have been created by Goddess Sita and worshipped by Lord Rama, has deep mythological roots and spiritual importance.
This temple, situated on the seashore in Tamil Nadu, is considered to belong to the Ramayana era. According to legend, Lord Rama, the king of Ayodhya, constructed a Shivling out of sand at this very spot and meditated upon Lord Shiva before embarking on his battle against Ravana, seeking victory. Following this, Lord Shiva appeared here in the form of light (Jyoti). It is also believed that after returning victorious from Lanka, sages advised Lord Rama to perform penance for the sin of Brahmahatya (killing a Brahmin). He instructed Hanuman to bring a Shivling from Mount Kailash. However, when Hanuman was delayed, Mother Sita crafted a Shivling herself, which Lord Rama worshipped. That Shivling is now known as Rameshwaram. Later, the Shivling brought by Hanuman was also installed nearby and is called Hanumadheeshwar.
