Ayodhya Ram Mandir temple is located on the banks of the Saryu River in Uttar Pradesh. Ayodhya is the birthplace of Lord Rama. The foundation stone for the construction of the Ram Temple was laid on August 5, 2020.
The temple is being overseen by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. The Ahmedabad-based Sompura family created the Ram Mandir’s original design in 1988. For at least 15 generations, the Sompuras have contributed to the architecture of more than 100 temples around the world, including the Somnath Temple. Nikhil and Ashish Sompura, both of whom are architects, helped their father, Chandrakant Sompura, who was the temple’s principal architect. In 2020, Sompura given a final design for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya .
